AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS

FOR NEW BUSINESS SYSTEMS SOFTWARE

WHEREAS, the current software system for the Borough's financial management, payroll, and human resources functions is in need of replacement; and

WHEREAS, a new system meeting the Borough's current and foreseeable future needs has been identified; and

WHEREAS, funds are available through the equipment replacement fund.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to make a sole source purchase of a financial management, payroll and human resources software system from Systems Consultants, Inc., of St. Louis, Missouri.

SECTION 2. That equipment replacement fund retained earnings in the amount of $150,420 are appropriated to account 705.18420 for the acquisition and installation of the software.

SECTION 3. That this ordinance takes effect immediately upon its enactment.
