SUBJECT:      Ordinance 2006-19-02, accepting and appropriating $10,000 from Michael Anderson for developing and conducting a symposium on gravel pits and gravel pit operations

The attached ordinance accepts and appropriates a public interest contribution of $10,000 submitted by Michael Anderson. The sole purpose of the contribution is to fund an environmental protection symposium on gravel pits and gravel pit operations. The symposium is to be developed and conducted by the Resource Planning department of the Kenai Peninsula Borough and is intended to benefit the residents of the Kenai Peninsula Borough.
