SUBJECT:    AMENDMENT to Ordinance 2006-19-25: Accepting and appropriating $100,000 from the State for upgrades at the Nikiski Pool

Ordinance 2006-19-25 is scheduled for public hearing on October 10, 2006. This ordinance accepts and appropriates a State grant for pool upgrades at the Nikiski Pool. The fifth “whereas” contains a blank for the Service Area Board’s recommendation. On September 25, 2006, the Service Area Board met and passed a motion to accept the $100,000 grant from the State.

The fifth “whereas” should be amended as follows:

WHEREAS,  as its regular meeting on September 25, 2006, the Service Area Board of Directors recommended acceptance of this State grant; and
