Subject: Ordinance 2006-30 amending KPB Chapter 5.20 regarding funds and account groups
Chapter 5.20 of the Kenai Peninsula Borough code of ordinances contains a listing of borough funds and a definition of each fund. This chapter has not been updated to reflect all funds and account groups used by the borough. The attached ordinance updates the code to reflect all funds and account groups currently used, makes provisions for future changes, and deletes sections no longer used in this chapter.
Attached is a proposed new Chart of Accounts Policy and Procedure providing details regarding the administration’s preparation, use, and maintenance of its chart of accounts. This policy will be followed if the accompanying ordinance is enacted.
