SUBJECT: Ordinance 2006-37, eliminating the sunset date of Ordinance 2005-29 relating to an appointed board of equalization
Last August the Assembly passed Ordinance 2005-29, which provided for an appointed board of equalization, rather than having the assembly act in that capacity. The ordinance is scheduled to sunset at the end of the year unless the assembly extends or eliminates that provision. I believe that it is in the best interest of the borough to have an appointed board, and ask for your support in eliminating the sunset provision.
