Notice of Public Hearing

March 14, 2006

Notice is hereby given that the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly will conduct a public hearing on the following Ordinance(s) at its regular meeting of March 14, 2006:

Ordinance 2006-01: Repealing KPB 21.26 and Enacting KPB Chapter 21.29, Material Site Permits (Long, Martin, Superman) (Final Hearing)

O2006-01 (Martin) Substitute:  Repealing KPB 21.26 and Enacting KPB Chapter 21.29, Material Site Permits (Martin)

Ordinance 2006-03: Adopting the National Incident Management System (NIMS) (Mayor)

Ordinance 2006-04: Stating Non-Objection to the Seldovia Village Tribe (SVT) Barabara Heights Volunteer Fire Department being Recognized by the State as a Volunteer Fire Department to Provide Fire Protection in the Kenai Peninsula Borough (Mayor, Martin)

Ordinance 2006-05: Amending KPB Chapters 14.10 and 14.20 to Revise the Street Naming and Numbering System (Mayor)

Ordinance 2006-06: Amending KPB 2.60.030 to Increase the E911 Surcharge from $.75 to $1.15 Per Month (Mayor)

Ordinance 2005-38 (Martin) Substitute: Amending KPB Title 16 to Authorize Certain Volunteers to Serve on their Respective Service Area Boards (Martin)

The public hearing will commence at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as business permits, in the Borough Assembly Chambers, 144 N. Binkley Street, Soldotna, Alaska 99669. All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting and participate in the public discussion. Written comments may be sent to the Assembly, c/o Borough Clerk, 144 N. Binkley Street, Soldotna, AK 99669. Copies of the ordinance are available in the office of the Borough Clerk and will be available at the meeting for public review. Copies are also posted at each City Hall and Post Office within the borough and are available via the Internet. Visit our website at www.borough.kenai.ak.us.

Please be advised that, subject to legal limitations, ordinances may be amended by the assembly prior to adoption without further public notice.
