RESOLUTION 99-007

A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE RESULTS OF THE

JANUARY 12, 1999 BY-MAIL SPECIAL ELECTION

WHEREAS, the Canvass Board of the Kenai Peninsula Borough met on January 13, 1999 and tallied the votes of the ballots cast by voters in the January 12, 1999 by-mail election; and

WHEREAS, the precinct tally as recorded by the Canvass Board is as follows:

PROPOSITION NO. 1

(Greater Seward Area Advisory Planning Commission)

YES 73

NO 158

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH:

SECTION 1. That the advisory question on the issue of establishing an advisory planning commission for the Greater Seward Area was rejected by the voters.

SECTION 2. That this resolution takes effect immediately upon its adoption.

ADOPTED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH THIS 19TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1999.
