A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE RESULTS OF THE
OCTOBER 5, 2004 REGULAR BOROUGH ELECTION
WHEREAS, the Canvass Board of the Kenai Peninsula Borough met on October 12, 2004, and tallied the votes of Questioned and Absentee ballots and the ballots cast by voters in the by-mail precincts together with votes counted on election night; and
WHEREAS, the precinct tallies as recorded by the Canvass Board are as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH:
SECTION 1. That in Assembly District 3, Gary Superman was elected to a 3-year term, having received the greatest number of votes cast.
SECTION 2. That in Assembly District 4, Pete Sprague was elected to a 3-year term, having received the greatest number of votes cast.
SECTION 3. That in Assembly District 7, Paul Fischer was elected to a 3-year term, having received the greatest number of votes cast.
SECTION 4. That in School Board District 1, Sammy Crawford was elected to a 3-year term, having received the greatest number of votes cast.
SECTION 5. That in School Board District 6, Sandra P. "Sandy" Wassilie was elected to a 3-year term, having received the greatest number of votes cast.
SECTION 6. That in School Board District 9, Sunni Hilts was elected to a 3-year term, having received the greatest number of votes cast.
SECTION 7. That in the Anchor Point Service Area, the following were elected, having received the greatest number of votes cast:

SECTION 21. That in the South Peninsula Hospital Service Area, Seat C, Donna Anderson was elected to a 2-year term, having received the greatest number of votes cast.
SECTION 22. That Proposition No. 1, Increasing the Residential Real Property Tax Exemption from $10,000 to $20,000, was approve by the voters of the borough.
SECTION 23. That Proposition No. 2, establishing the Nikiski Law Enforcement Service Area, was defeated by the voters of the proposed service area.
SECTION 24. That Proposition No. 3, Clarifying Service Area Powers for the North Peninsula Recreation Service Area, was defeated by the voters of the service area.
SECTION 25. That Proposition No. 4, Reducing the Cost of Capital Improvement Projects Requiring Voter Approval for the North Peninsula Recreation Service Area, was approved by the voters of the service area.
SECTION 26. That Proposition No. 5A, Central Emergency Services Area Expansion - Funny River, was approved by the voters of the existing service area.
SECTION 27. That Proposition No. 5B, Central Emergency Services Area Expansion - Funny River, was approved by the voters of the expansion area.
SECTION 28. That Proposition No. 6A, Central Emergency Services Area Expansion - Kasilof/Cohoe/Clam Gulch, was approved by the voters of the existing service area.
SECTION 29. That Proposition No. 6B, Central Emergency Services Area Expansion - Kasilof/Cohoe/Clam Gulch, was approved by the voters of the expansion area.
SECTION 31. That this resolution takes effect immediately upon its adoption.
