A RESOLUTION RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN BOROUGH LAND

IN THE SUNRISE AREA PURSUANT TO KPB 17.10.080

WHEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula Borough has received title to the subject land; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to KPB 17.10.080, classification provides direction for the management of borough land; and

WHEREAS, public notice was published and notification was sent to landowners and/or leaseholders of record within a one-half mile radius of the land proposed for classification, departments, applicable agencies, and interested parties; and

WHEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula Borough Planning Commission at its regular scheduled meeting of March 27, 2006 recommended adoption by unanimous consent;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH:

SECTION 1. Based on the findings of fact, analysis, and conclusions contained in the staff report of March 27, 2006, the following described borough land shall be reclassified as Residential: A portion of Government Lot 1, Section 3, T9N, R1W, S.M., Alaska, containing approximately 1.0 acre as shown on "Attachment A--Conceptual Plan."

SECTION 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
