SUBJECT: Resolution 2006-045; Authorizing Award of a Contract for the Purchase of a 3000-Gallon Tanker with Chassis for Central Emergency Services
On April 27, 2006, the Kenai Peninsula Borough solicited bids for the purchase of a 3000-Gallon Tanker with Chassis for Central Emergency Services. The Invitation To Bid was advertised in the Peninsula Clarion on March 20, 2006, and the Anchorage Daily News on March 19, 2006.
On the due date of April 27, 2006, two (2) bids were received. Both bids were deemed responsive and were carefully reviewed to ensure that minimum specifications were met. Attached is a copy of the bid tabulation sheet.
The total bid price of $279,909.00 submitted by H & W Emergency Vehicles is acceptable and was approved by the Central Emergency Service Area Board at its May 4, 2006, meeting.
