SUBJECT: Resolution 2006-058 Authorizing the Mayor to Execute an Agreement with Funny River Emergency Services, Inc. on Behalf of the Borough and Central Emergency Service Area to Acquire the Funny River Emergency Services Fire Station, Equipment, and Supplies, and to Provide Certain Services
On October 5, 2004, voters approved Ordinance 2004-22 to expand the Central Emergency Service Area (CES) to include the Funny River area.
The attached resolution would authorize the Mayor to execute an agreement to acquire certain real and personal property from Funny River Emergency Services Inc. (FRES) for the balance amount of prepaid rents under the borough’s existing space lease at the facility plus $1.00. The agreement additionally provides that the borough will provide certain services including 24-hour staffing of the facility, subject to appropriation and availability of funds.
