SUBJECT: Resolution 2006-060, Authorizing Transfer of Funds from a Cancelled Project to the Bear Creek Fire Service Area Public Safety Building Project
The Bear Creek Fire Service Area (BCFSA) is interested in the design and construction of a new public safety building as funded through Ordinance 2004-19. Additional funds for the project were appropriated through Ordinance 2005-19 for the purchase of adjoining land for the new public safety building. The Bear Creek Fire Service Area Board has now determined it is in the best interests to utilize the existing parcel of land for the new building.
The Bear Creek Fire Service Area Board is scheduled to approve of the cancellation of this project and the transfer of funds at it regularly scheduled board meeting on June 13, 2006.
The transfer of $30,000 from project 442.51210.06421 to 442.51210.05213 would provide a total amount of $125,000 for costs associated with the BCFSA Public Safety Building design.
Proposals for professional and design services for the BCFSA Public Safety Building were received on May 25, 2006 and additional funds are needed to award the contract for preliminary design. Any funds in excess of the award would be used to further the design process.
