SUBJECT:    Proposed Amendment to Title of Resolution 2006-063, Transfer of Maintenance Responsibility of Roads from State Department of Transportation and Public Facilities After the State Upgrades and Paves Certain Kenai Peninsula Borough Roads to Kenai Peninsula Borough Road Standards

After this resolution was submitted to the packet it came to the administration’s attention that the title should be amended to delete any reference to the transfer of road ownership to the borough. The roads in question are all located on rights-of-way that have already been dedicated and therefore are considered borough owned roads; this resolution would authorize the transfer of maintenance responsibility only to the borough.

The administration therefore respectfully requests that the assembly amend the title to this resolution as shown below, with deletions in bold and crossed out, and additions in bold and underlined:
