SUBJECT: Resolution 2006-093, adopting the Resurrection River Debris Maintenance Plan as required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency
This resolution would adopt the Resurrection River Debris Maintenance Plan. This plan is required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the borough to continue to be eligible for FEMA assistance. The plan was drafted in cooperation with the City of Seward and other affected agencies to identify specific hazards and flood types in the Resurrection River area and provide an outline of action items and objectives designed to remove Resurrection River debris in a manner that will mitigate negative effects of flooding in the Resurrection River area. Your approval of this resolution would be appreciated.
