The Alaska Vocational Technical Center
(AVTEC), located in Seward, provides skills training in a variety of industrial and technical fields, recently adding LPN certification. AVTEC is approved by the Alaska Commission on Post Secondary Education and is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education. During
2006, there were 1,534 students served.
