OVERVIEW 

Under NAICS coding, lines of business are divided into three main categories, goods producing, service providing, and government, which in turn are divided into subcategories as indicated in the table below A lack of incentive for reporting of all sales data results in gross sales being understated. Taxable sales are a more reliable indicator because a fine is imposed for failure to report those sales.
