 TOURISM Industry

Sales in the visitor industry are an important source of municipal revenues as most sales do not meet exemption qualifications. The city and KPB governments use sales tax revenues to support school and government operations, government functions and infrastructure development.

Tourism sales include so much more than what is presented in these tables.  With implementation of NAICS, it will take some time to presenta more realistic definition of the impact of tourism on each community and the KPB as a whole.
